Real Estate
The Agents, Appraiser and Service Manager act as a liaison between various departments and prospective buyers, sellers, lessees of real estate to protect the interests of Norfolk Southern and to make recommendations and negotiate the purchase, sale or lease of real estate for the Company. In addition, Real Estate handles the negotiation, preparation, coordination with appropriate departments; administration and execution of all legal documents that involve use of Corporate real estate and industry rail service. |

Facilities
The Facilities department oversees the management of facilities, maintenance, the energy management program and vendor management for facilities issues at the Atlanta, Norfolk, Dearborn and Roanoke campuses and managed buildings. The department also handles preparation of cost estimates and plans, construction, move management, and other aspects of projects relating to facilities to achieve corporate space utilization goals, assist Real Estate with handling of surplus property and reduce costs. |
