Wireline and Pipeline Licenses

In order to better serve the licensing needs of utilities, municipalities and other prospective occupants of our railroad network; Norfolk Southern has retained DMJM+Harris, a respected provider of engineering-related services, based in Philadelphia, PA. On Norfolk Southern's behalf, DMJM+Harris will receive and review pipe and wire applications, and prepare and execute license agreements.

Fiber Optics

T-Cubed, Thoroughbred Technology and Telecommunications, a subsidiary of NS, uses Norfolk Southern's extensive rail network of more than 21,000 miles of right-of-way and other infrastructure to participate in the telecommunications business.

T-Cubed offers installation opportunities for fiber optics as well as wireless arrays on 375 existing microwave towers. With a 22-state network, T-Cubed gives you the ability to connect major metropolitan areas, regional centers and even the smallest localities.
